Green Boost Recipe

If you need a boost of vitamins and energy, look no further than this green boost recipe. Made in any Juiceman juice extractor, this juice is a good replacement for high-sugared juice drinks found in your supermarket. Combining healthful and popular greens like broccoli and celery stalk, with squash and bell pepper, this juice offers a refreshing escape from your everyday junk foods. Prepare this drink if you’re feeling especially sluggish after a weekend’s worth of splurging, like this past Labor Day weekend. It is delicious chilled, or poured over a few ice cubes.

  • 1 medium stock (6 oz.) broccoli
  • 1 (3 oz.) small yellow squash
  • 1 medium celery stalk
  • ½ small green bell pepper
  • ½ inch slice cucumber

Process vegetables through juice extractor into juice pitcher. Stir to blend flavors. Pour into short cocktail glasses.

To serve, garnish with slice of cucumber on the glass.

Makes about 1½ cups (1 to 2 servings).

Lemon Lime Vinaigrette

Vegetables, while nutritious, sometimes need a little boost of flavor to get them truly mouth-watering. Add a creamy and heavy dressing, though, and you rack up the calories and negate the purpose of having a salad. Instead, make this light and flavorful lemon lime vinaigrette made with your Juiceman hand blender. The tartness of the lemon and lime juice is balanced with sweet honey and refreshing mint leaves. The combination of flavors makes it perfect for a tropical mango salad, leafy salad greens, or pasta salad. With this easy recipe, you’ll never want to result to bottled salad dressings again!

  • 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp. freshly grated orange peel
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • ½ cup salad oil

1.) Add all ingredients into beaker. Attach blending attachment to motor body. Insert into beaker. Select speed to be used (we suggest speed 3). Press POWER button and move the blender inside the beaker to incorporate all ingredients.

2.) Blend until smooth.

3.) Serve on salad greens, or pasta salads.

Makes about ¾ cup.
