The below provide some frequently aksed questions and their answers.

Q: It says I can juice whole apples, but don’t apple cores have cyanide? Is this harmful?

A: According to the American Medical Association1, apple seeds do contain trace amounts of cyanide, but not in amounts that will be harmful – even for children.

Q: Why do I remove the peel on citrus fruits?

A: Citrus fruits and some others (papaya) have a bitter taste in their protective covering (peel or rind). Leaving this on will affect the taste of your drinks.

Note: In some cases where you are using a smaller citrus fruit in smaller amounts – such as slices of lemon or lime in a full drink of bold flavors – you don’t have to remove the peel. You may wish to try this on your favorite drinks to see if it affects the taste, to save you time on prep work.

Q: Can I juice the rind of the pineapple and/or the rind of a melon?

A: Yes. Your juice extractor is designed to juice most produce whole – with the exception of produce coverings that give drinks a bitter taste like citrus peels. Rinds do not alter taste and contain many nutrients. Always juice rind-on produce on the highest speed.
