Juice for the Cure

Let food be thy medicine -Hippocrates

There’s little debate that fresh produce and juicing can increase your overall health, strengthen your immune system and provide more energy during your daily routine. The verdict is still out, though, on whether or not juicing can actually cure disease. While the scientific community is having a healthy debate on the subject, many accredited doctors and scientists already stand behind the idea of “juice therapy” to cure disease.

Various doctors including Dr. Max Gerson and Dr. Norman Walker have used juice therapy to treat cancer – flooding the body with antioxidants and minerals with large amounts of fresh juice. Dr. Gerson conducted a study that involved 50 cancer patients on a very strict juice therapy diet. According to his results, all 50 were cured.11

In a different case, a cancer patient named Ross Mansergh chose juicing over conventional treatments. On a strict juice therapy diet overcame the disease, saying, “The best way to beat cancer is not to poison the body further, but by feeding it the right nutrients.”12

While the debate is still open, it is a known fact supported by the World Health Organization that regular consumption of fruits and vegetables significantly lower your risk for cancers of the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, colon-rectum, larynx, lungs, ovaries, bladder and kidneys.13
