Ingredients:

  • 1.5 tsp tangerine zest
  • 3/4 cup fresh tangerine juice (about 5 tangerines)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch
  • 6 egg yolks, beaten and set aside in medium bowl

Tantalizing Tangerine Curd

Servings | 14 oz.

Rich in vitamin C and beta carotene, this tangy curd will brighten up your favorite breakfast! From pancakes to toast, spread it on and prepare to be tantalized!

Directions

Using your Juiceman Juicer, prepare the tangerine juice. In a saucepan, combine tangerine zest, juice, cornstarch and sugar over medium heat. Stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil (about five minutes). Remove from heat.

Whisking constantly, pour a small amount of tangerine mixture into egg yolks. Repeat until half of tangerine mixture is combined with egg yolks, then add back to saucepan. Cook over medium heat for five minutes or until mixture is thickened, whisking constantly.

Remove from heat and stir in butter pieces until combined. Portion & let cool.
