Use Product: 2 Speed Juice Extractor JM400
Yield: 8 Servings (Servings Size 1 Skewer)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh apple juice (about 2.5 pounds of apples)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground all spice

Directions:

Use your Juiceman to extract fresh apple and lemon juices. In a saucepan, combine all ingredients over medium heat, stirring frequently- about 5 minutes. Pour into an 8-inch glass baking dish and place in freezer for 1 hour. Make sure to set a timer!

Use a fork to gently scrape the frozen mixture from the edges toward the center. Place in freezer again for another hour. Repeat this process two or three more times until the entire mixture is flaky. Scoop into bowls and serve! Looks beautiful garnished with a cinnamon stick or fresh mint.

Helpful Hints

* Have fun using a blend of various apples to produce your favorite juice. Make sure to select ripe apples to get the most yield. Sweeter versions tend to be red fleshed such as Fuji, Gala, Honey Crisp, McIntosh and Pink Lady while green varieties like Granny Smith will be more tart.

* Save the apple pulp and place in the refrigerator or freezer to add flavor and moisture to your homemade baked goods such as waffles, bars and pancakes.
